Please note that tickets can only be booked in multiples of two or four seats.
Join us for afternoon tea whilst travelling on the Weardale Railway behind our heritage locomotives.
​
Take a seat onboard the Afternoon Tea train, sit back and relax, and enjoy the journey through the beautiful Weardale countryside, whilst sandwiches are cakes are served to your table in beautiful boxes.
Trains from Stanhope will pause over the River Wear at Broadwood while we serve your afternoon tea. Trains from Bishop Auckland will pause over Etherley Viaduct.

Those booking an VIP afternoon tea ticket will also receive a welcome glass of Prosecco.

Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Please advise us at the time of booking and we'll make sure your experience is tailored to your requirements.

Please note that due to our seating configuration of 4 at a table, you may be seated with another party.
Rolling Stock:

The Afternoon Tea services will be hauled using Class 31 locomotives and our recently refurbished Mk3 coaches.
