The Weardale Railway offers the perfect venue for special occasions, school trips and corporate events.

Over several years, we have developed a successful series of excursions through Weardale both on normal scheduled trains and special chartered journeys. These journeys can be tailored to your requirements to cover all or part of the line and for single or return journeys. 

We have successfully operated with coach tour operators, private parties, family groups, and local organisations such as the WI, scout troops, schools, birthdays and photographic evenings.
