Become a Member of the Weardale Railway Trust
The Weardale Railway Trust is a charitable organisation that was formed by a group of people with a common objective to preserve the line and its artefacts. Run by dedicated volunteers, the Trust supports Weardale Railway Limited in these endeavours through the operation and preservation of the infrastructure and rolling stock on the Weardale Railway, as well as supporting educational and community activities.

Day-to-day operations are supported by our wonderful volunteers and your membership fee will help maintain our locomotives, rolling stock and the infrastructure along the 16 miles of track between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland.

You can help support the Weardale Railway by becoming a member and perhaps, if you feel able to, joining our group of volunteers too. More information about volunteering can be found on the Volunteering page.
