Further Volunteer Training Runs

On Monday 27th June another day of shadow operations took place between Stanhope and Broadwood crossing near Frosterley. Shadow running allows for the training of operational staff such as drivers and guards to take place in safety when passengers are not being carried or present on the platforms. A great day was had by everyone involved in the training.

This is an opportune moment to remind everyone that trains are not limited to our publicised service days and can run on the line at any time. These include staff training runs, engineering trains and rolling stock moves. Please take care when using the public and farm crossings and do not trespass on the line!
